My path to becoming a virtual assistant
After graduating as a German and Spanish translator in Belgium, I realized that I was missing human contact.
Then I discovered an opportunity to work for a Belgian company in Switzerland for a few months. Twenty-three years later, I’m still here! And now, I’m also Swiss.
At Alstom, I moved into event management, setting up large exhibition stands worldwide and organizing high-profile customer events. I then went on to lead the Event Operations Management team in the CYBATHLON project at ETH Zurich.
During these intensive professional years, I completed countless administrative tasks, negotiated with various interfaces, developed numerous project plans, and tackled a wide range of complex problems.
After a break while traveling, I decided to share my know-how with others by supporting people as a virtual assistant.
What makes me tick
Friends and colleagues say I’m a relentless organizer and always running around with a list in my hand. They’re right: I like to bring structure to chaos and thrive when I can check off tasks or create a detailed plan. For me, planning is key to a successful result.
My extensive professional experience ensures that I work in a calm, efficient, and structured manner and am not easily rattled.
I am a pragmatic person who communicates openly and is always ready to help others.
My private life
I feel most comfortable in the mountains, far from civilization: usually hiking, biking, or snowshoeing. When not outdoors, you can often find me in the kitchen, our campervan, or planning our next adventure.
For over 20 years, I have lived with my Australian partner. Thanks to him, I speak and write English fluently. Thanks to his Australian laid-back attitude, I can also do things without lists.
My dream? To build an off-the-grid tiny house somewhere in the mountains.
